Hello Lovely! DCWV Minty Lace

Hello, DCWV friends! Did you hear the news? DCWV is releasing some new stacks at AC Moore stores. The stacks are all full of some amazing prints. Also introducing some new iridescent and pearl touches!

Today I am working with the new DCWV Minty Lace stack!

I really love the iridescent touches throughout this stack. I really waned to highlight the element by choosing a print for the background of the card. I also chose one of the journaling pockets included in the stack to put in the center of the card. I felt the card needed a touch of extra color, so I used a pendant die to cut out the mint green shape. To add dimension to the card, I included three wooden heart veneers. This was such a simple card to make and was finished in less than 10 minutes! Gotta love that!

Thank you for stopping by today!

Pink & Main Hello Sunshine

Happy Saturday, Pink & Main friends! Who loves summer? Me personally...not my favorite! It is WAY to hot and sticky here in Texas. However, I do love the summer treats! Ice cream and snowcones are my favorite! So I fell in love with the new Pink & Main's So Cool stamp set!

I have been craving a snowcone lately, so I was inspired to use this set and here is the creation that I came up with:

I stamped the penguin image onto white cardstock and colored in the snowcone with a light pink marker. I used a darker pink and speckled the top of the cone. I felt it needed a little more, so I added some speckles of white gel pen ink. The image is cut out and set aside. I used the Pink & Main's Stitched Rounded Rectangle Dies and Scallop Waves Dies to create the scene background. I added a few cloud diecuts and a sun diecut (from the Warm Holidays Coordinating Dies). For the sentiment, I used the word die 'hello' in two colors and attached slightly offline. To finish the sentiment, I stamped 'sunshine' on the bottom right corner.

Find the Beauty

Happy Saturday, Pink & Main friends! I am switching up my normal post. I usually share a fun Pink & Main card, but today, I will be sharing one of my latest bible journaling pages.

I love the sentiment stamp in the Doodled Flowers stamp set. So I did a search for verses about beauty.
Here is the page I came up with:

I used a variety of ZIG watercolor markers on this page. I love how carefree watercolors look. So I went a little sloppy with the paint. I feel that there is beauty in everything, even when they are not perfect. You have to find the beauty in everything.

Thanks a Million

Happy Saturday, Pink & Main friends! Rainbows seem to be back in style! Now every time I think of rainbows, my first thought is of my Rainbow Bright Doll I got as a Christmas present! I loved the tights she wore and always wanted a pair of my own!

I have been sitting on a die for several months, and finally decided to break it out of its packaging! (Please tell me I am not the only one that buys supplies and then forgets that I even have it?)

I love Pink & Main's word stamp sets and coordinating dies! They have so many uses from cards, scrapbook pages and even gift tags. I decided to pair up the Thanks to You stamp set with my long lost die!

Here is the creation that I came up with:

I used some brightly colored cardstock with the fringe die. I created the fringe with different colors and arranged in the rainbow order. I wanted the sentiment to overlap from the top layer of the fringe and the blank space above it. I stamped the edge of the word "THANKS" on the red strip. I stamped the word onto the center of the blank space towards the top part of the card. I lined up the fringe and attached to the card.

Depending on how much dimension on the card you want, you can 'fluff' up part of the fringe on each of the colors.

Hello Summer with DCWV

Hello, DCWV friends! It's Jessi from the Social Media Design Team. I hope you are all enjoying the summer weather outside. The rain has stopped here in Texas, long enough to go outside for a bike ride. After having some fresh air, I was inspired to get in the craft room to create!

I love making scenery cards! So I brought out some fun stamps and cute prints from the
DCWV Honey Chic stack.

I decided to keep this scene card more on the simple side. I used the fun chevron print for the sky background. Plain white cardstock is used to create the cloud border using a adorable border die. A grass border die is used on a green print to create the grass part of the scene. The stamps are stamped onto white cardstock and colored in. The sentiment is formed using stamps from a couple different sets and stamped onto the clouds.

A very simple card to re-create! Have you made a scene card before? It can be done with a variety of stamps, images and even prints. DCWV stacks often include larger prints (such as flowers or birds) that can be cut out and used for scenes.

Thank you for stopping by today!

Magical Unicorns & Birthday Wishes

Happy Saturday, Pink & Main friends! I am in love with the super adorable Pink & Main's Magical Unicorns stamp set. Every time I sit done to work on my Pink & Main projects, this is the set I grab first! So today, I gave into the temptation and began to create.

Pink and Main's Magical Unicorns stamp set is always screaming bright colorful rainbow to me! So I decided to give in to the voices and created this beauty!

I used textured cardstock in bright colors to create the rainbow using a die. I trimmed the part of the rainbow that hung over the edge of the card. I attached a cloud diecut at the end of the rainbow. The unicorn image is stamped, colored, and cut out. The unicorn is added to the card with a foam dot. The sentiment is stamped in the bottom corner in black ink. I love the CAS style on cards, but I felt this card needed a little extra. So I stamped the star image three times with yellow ink.
