Pink & Main's Oh, Crab

Happy Saturday, Pink & Main friends! It is a holiday weekend here in the states. Lots of BBQs and going to the beach. No beach visits for us, due to the weather here in Texas, but I believe we have 3 different cook outs happening this weekend!

Pink and Main's Oh, Crab stamp set is perfect for the summer season!

I found some fun summery prints and decided to create a scenery card. I placed the prints together and decided to stamp and color in the image. As I attached the crab to the card, I saw that it looked like the ball was drifting away in the water. The sentiment "hope to sea you soon" fits perfectly!

DCWV Birds are Tweet!

Hello, DCWV friends! It's Jessi from the Social Media Design Team. It seems to be that birds are a current trend. You can find them everywhere! Along with the super fun DCWV Birds & Butterflies Stack now available at Joann Stores. The stack is full of bold and bright colors!

Here is the card I made using different prints available in the stack:

I love the colorful birds in this stack and wanted to make one the highlight of a card. I hand cut the image out and set it aside. I chose the blue print for the background, to resemble the sky. I wanted the bird to look like it was sitting on a branch, so I used a strip of orange to accomplish that look. A fun die is used to create the leaves. To add a little dimension to the card, I added a few yellow enamel dots to the card. A fun sentiment is stamped onto the orange strip.

I am playing along with this week's Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Check out the current sketch, HERE!

Celebrate and Rejoice!

May is my birthday month! Even though the day was a few weeks ago, I am still celebrating!

I am Facebook friends with the talented Savannah O'Gwynn and she was super nice to leave me birthday wishes on my special day! In her message, she included a bible versus. What she didn't know, is that verse is in one of my favorite hymns. So I knew I needed to make a bible journaling page!

Savannah works with Paper Smooches, so I wanted to try to include some of their stamps on the page. I play along with their challenges when I get a free moment, so I went to see what the current challenge was and it is RAINBOWS! I knew there would be a way to incorporate all this into a page.

Here is what I came up with!

I love the clean and simple look, so I decided to use Paper Smooches Balloons Dies with papers from the colors of the rainbows. A fun sentiment is stamped towards the page. I also included the "Happy Birthday" stamp to complete the sentiment.

Thank you for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!

ConGRADulations

Happy Saturday, Pink & Main friends! Graduation season is upon us! High school and college graduates ready to close one chapter in their lives and move on to the next!

Pink & Main's Grad Owl stamp set is simply adorable and perfect for the season!

I have a hard time coloring larger images, so I tend to lean towards patterned papers to help me out! I used a brown print to stamp the owl image on. I colored the cap with a black marker. I really wanted the eyes to pop, so I used a white gel pen to color them in. The owl image is cut out and attached to a printed circle. I used the new Pink & Main's Stitched Rounded Rectangles dies to create the frame at the bottom of the card and used stickers to form the 2016. A simple sentiment is stamped on the card to finish it off.

Heartfelt Thanks

It has been a rainy few weeks here in Texas, with more predicted in the week ahead! One good thing about this rain is that the flowers are in full bloom! The bright colors help out with the gloomy days! Right outside our front door is a hibiscus plant with large orange blooms! So flowers have been on my mind lately, so when I saw this inspiration picture from Inspired by Stamping, the floral print jumped out!  So I decided to play along for the chance to be one of their Inspired by Stamping guest designers.

Inspired by Stamping Guest Design Team Call Inspiration Photo

So I decided to create a card focused on flowers!

I chose one of the gorgeous flowers from the Inspired by Stamping's Elegant Flower stamp set. I stamped the image in white and added white embossing powder. I used a couple different ZIG watercolor markers to color in the images. A simple sentiment is stamped with brown ink. I added the floral panel to the front of a kraft card base.

Pink & Main Ever After

Happy Saturday, Pink & Main friends! Did you see Pink & Main's newest release! It is full of cute stamp sets! I hope you stop by and check them out HERE!

I am working with the adorable set, Ever After, to create a perfect CAS card
for the newly married couple.

I used an embossed A2 card for the base of this simple card. I stamped the cake image and cut it out. Once the image is colored, I attached it to the card. A simple sentiment is stamped towards the bottom of the card.

To finish the card, I also included a sentiment on the inside of the card.

What a perfect card to recreate when you are in a rush to give to a happy couple!

Happy Wishes DCWV-style

Hello, DCWV friends! It's Jessi from the Social Media Design Team. May is my birthday month, so I figured it was time to work with the new DCWV Confetti Stack! So I am sharing with you my first ever shaker card!

This is a very simple shaker card to create. I used a premade foam balloon for the shaker part of the card. The foam piece is attached to a fun print from the stack. In the back of the Confetti Stack there are several confetti packets available. I cut one open and added the paper pieces to the inside of the balloon. To finish the shaker part of the card, I added a piece of acetate to cover the front. I added a twine bow to the bottom of the balloon. I wanted a fun sentiment, so I used word dies with a piece of DCWV Gold Foil cardstock to finish the card.

Have you seen this month's sketch challenge? Stop by HERE to see the details! Here is a look at my card using the beautiful DCWV Garden Charm Stack:

Hello, Sunshine! - Sneak Peek for Pink & Main

Happy Saturday, Pink & Main friends! The new May Pink & Main will be available on May 10th! It is another adorable release!

Today, I am giving you a sneak peek of one of the new word stamp sets with coordinating dies,
Hello Friend.

I am in love with the new rounded rectangle dies from Pink & Main. I used two of them to create the white frame. I placed a beautiful print under the frame. I paired two different prints with the new "Hello" word and shadow dies. I created a simple banner with a different print and stamped the rest of the sentiment.

Do you have problem matching prints as much s I do? My solution is to work with prints from the same collection. In fact, my favorite thing to use are 6x6 paper pads. I used the AC Shimelle True Stories paper pad for this card.

Pink & Main Anything Goes Challenge

Hello, Pink & Main friends! Who is ready for another Pink & Main Monthly Challenge? This month we are going with a very simple theme, and one of my favorites, ANYTHING GOES!
May is my birthday month, so I decided to make a super cute birthday card, using the adorable Dinomite stamp set.

I fell in love with this fun collection from Echo Park! I also wanted to pair it up with a the Dinomite stamp set. I took the image that matched the papers and colored with green markers. The image is cut out and set aside. I layered several prints to form the front of the card. The dinosaur image is attached to the top panel. The balloon is paper-pieced to the card. The sentiment is stamped onto a banner diecut and the card. A sticker embellishment is added using a foam pop dot.
