Joy Clair - Hoppy Birthday

Hello, Joy Clair friends!
I am excited to be sharing one of my latest Joy Clair projects with you today!
Today, I am working with the new stamp set, Hoppy Birthday!

Hoppy Birthday Clear Stamps - Joy Clair - 1

And my card using this fun stamp set:

I stamped this fun frog image and colored in with ZIG watercolor markers. I picked out a variety of prints from a 6x6 paper pad, so the prints were made to coordinate with each other. I cut out a piece of green to make it look like a lily pad. I used blue prints for the water and sky.

Hello, Spring!!!

Hello, Pretty Cute Stamp fans! Hope you are having a fabulous week! I am excited to share my project with you today!

I am working with the adorable Spring Flowers stamp set.

When I came up with the plan for this card, I envisioned a few flowers around the bottom corner. I stamped a few of the flowers with white ink and added white embossing powder. With the heat gun, I heated the powder until it melted. I used a variety of ZIG markers to color in the images. A simple sentiment is stamped. The panel is attached to a bright cardstock and attached to the card base.

As I am here typing this post, I look at the card and am thinking I might go back and add a few more images. Possibly covering the entire front.

Thank you for stopping by today!

Joy Clair - Armor of God

Hello, Joy Clair friends!  Hoping you are having a wonderful week! With this being Holy Week, I am sure finding lots of Bible journaling pages from the week's readings. The week has been super busy, hoping to get to sit down and complete a few pages later today.
Today, I am working with the new set, Armor of God, from the Color by Faith series.

Armor of God Clear Stamps - Joy Clair - 1

Here is the ible journaling page using this inspiring stamp set:

This was a very simple page to create. I first stamped the knight image onto the page. Once the ink dried, I used ZIG watercolor markers to color in the image. The simple phrase is stamped at the top of the page and I added yellow watercolor rays to highlight the words.

Joy Clair - Seeds of Faith

Hello, Joy Clair friends!  I am excited to share one of my latest Bible journaling pages with you today! I am getting more and more comfortable with this new genre with each page I complete. The ideas for future Bible pages are flowing quicker than my hands can work. What a great feeling!
Today, I am working with the new set, Seeds of Faith, from the Color by Faith series.

Seeds of Faith Clear Stamps - Joy Clair - 1

Here is the ible journaling page using this inspiring stamp set:

I attempted to hand draw a bunch of grapes, but was not satisfied with the results. So I did a computer search for a clipart of grapes. I found one and traced the image onto the Bible page. I used Crayola Twistable crayons to color in the image. The words are stamped with brown ink on the individual grape. I used alpha stickers to form the title of the page.

Funny Farm

Hello, Pink & Main friends! It is Jessi from Kissin' Krafts! Are you loving the new release from Pink & Main? If you have not seen the release, check it out HERE!

I used a couple of the new stamp sets to make this card, The Herd set and Funny Farmer set.

I created this scene by stamping the images and coloring them in with ZIG watercolor markers. The dirt is also created using the same watercolor markers. The fence is made with strips of brown cardstock. A simple sentiment is added to the 'white space' of the card. The scene is matted to a fun print and attached to the front of the card base.

Pretty Cute Stamps Monthly Challenge

Today starts a new Pretty Cute Stamps Challenge! This month the challenge is to make a project that is not a card!

I have been sitting on a few of these burlap sacks, so I decided to break them out and make a gift bag using the new Grow stamp set!

This bag would be great to give a few seed packets to your favorite gardener. So I decided to create a panel with a scene from a garden. I used a variety of prints to create the scene. I also used a variety of prints to stamp the images on and cut out. The scene is pieced together and attached to the front of the bag.

DCWV Travel Color and Create Album

Hello, DCWV friends! Joann Stores recently had a huge release of new product from DCWV. The release includes new stacks, Color and Create, and Paint and Create. Please stop by Joann's website or DCWV for more details.

When I received the new Color and Create my daughter fell in love! Anytime I was coloring, she wanted a page of her own! So I decided to create a Color and Create travel album. Perfect for killing time on long road trips!

To start this project, I created the front and back covers using the DCWV Jet Black Stack. The front cover includes an additional print and letter stickers are used to create the title.

Inside the album, I picked a variety of pages from several of the Color and Create stacks. I choose the large images that would be easy for a 6 year old to color. I punched holes and added to the album.  Now she has something to make the time fly on our upcoming road trips!

As she is coloring her pages, I am coloring mine for upcoming projects!

Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful!

Joy Clair - Letter to God

Hello, Joy Clair friends!  I am excited to be sharing one of my latest Joy Clair projects with you today! Joy Clair released 8 stamp sets this month. You can check out the new release HERE!
Today, I am working with the new set, Letter to God, from the Color by Faith series.

Letter to God Clear Stamps - Joy Clair - 1

Here is the bible journaling page using this inspiring stamp set:

The name of this set says it all, Letter to God. So when I thought about writing a letter, a typewriter came to mind. My hand-drawing skills are not the best, so I did a search for a clipart of a typewriter and traced the image onto the page. I drew in the paper and stamped the words of the letter onto the bible page. I used more stamped words and stickers to create the rest of the wording on the page.

    Happy Rainbows

Hello, Pretty Cute Stamp fans! Hope you are having a fabulous week! I am excited to share my project with you today!

I am working with one of the super fun and NEW Pretty Cute Stamp sets, Rainbow and Rain or Shine.

I used the cloud images from the Rain or Shine stamp set to create the stamped background of the card. The focal point of the card is the rainbow image from the Rainbow set. The rainbow is colored in and attach to the card. I stamped the image again on a scrap piece of paper and cute out the clouds. The extra clouds are attached to the rainbow using foam dots. The simple sentiment is stamped on a strip of cardstock and added to the card.

    Got Milk?

Hello, Pink & Main friends! It is Jessi from Kissin' Krafts! Are you loving the new release from Pink & Main? If you have not seen the release, check it out HERE!

I used a couple of the new stamp sets to make this card, The Herd set and Banner Alpha set.

The patterned paper is part of a 6x6 paper pad. I loved the design, but was unsure of how to use it. So when I saw the adorable cow image from the The Herd set, I knew I wanted to use them together! I also used the Banner Alpha set to create the 'GOT MILK' banners. The banners are attached to a couple toothpicks and adhered to the card. I put the cow image on a pop dot to give the card some added dimension. To back up the milk bottle background, I added a strip print for the cow to 'stand' on.

I wanted to create a card focusing on the 'The Sun will come out tomorrow'. I created a frame for another project and the idea hit me! I made another frame and stamped the clouds and rain drops around the edges. The inside of the frame I created the sunny scene. I made sure to line up the clouds at the top of the scene with the outside frame.  The boots and umbrella are stamped on paper and cut out. I used the paper-piecing technique to add them to the scene. A simple banner with the sentiment is added to the card.

Today, I am working with the new free stamp set, Lucky Dog, with a purchase of $30 or more.

I wanted to the dog stamp to be the star of the card. I decided to create a simple card to make this happen. The sentiment is stamped on the strip of paper next to the image.  The prints of the other papers give the card the additional character.

I used this sketch from Freshly Made Sketches, to bring the CAS look to the card.

    Funny Foods

Who doesn't love donuts? I know I do! And working with the new Funny Foods set got my cravings flowing! For this card, I stamped the donut image randomly onto the cardstock and colored in with a variety of markers. I banner is cut out and the sentiment is stamped onto the black bat.
Lion and the Lamb (Color by Faith series)

Be bold as a lion. I took that to heart and created a page with some bold colors. Definitely, out of my comfort zone. I used paint to color the margin of the page and stamped the lion image. I really wanted the eye to pop, so I colored it in with a white gel pen. Stickers and handwriting create the title of the page. A phrase from the stamp set is stamped at the top of the page. Arrow points with words are attached to the page.

I Love You Card using Classy Copper

Hello, DCWV friends! I was lucky enough to attend the CHA Mega Show in January and I came home inspired! One section of the show, showcased Hot Trends for 2016. One of the trends mentioned was the use of metallic colors. When I hear metallic colors, I usually think about gold/bronze colors. When Megan handed me on of the new DCWV stacks, Classy Copper, I fell in love with the copper touches. I could not wait to get to work!

I really wanted to make the copper touches to POP off the card! Some time to gather the supplies!

Most of the time when I sit down to create a card, I create as I go. Sometimes when I picture a card in my head, I pre-cut all the elements before I start piecing the card together. When I was going through the DCWV stack, I pulled out a few different prints to work with and started to cut out the elements.

After spending over 30 minutes re-arranging the pieces, I could not make up my mind. I turned to my DCWV DT sisters and they came to the rescue! In fact, they made a suggestion that I never thought about and it WORKED! (Thanks, Tessa!)

So here is the final product! I am pretty happy with how it turned out!

Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful!

    DCWV March Stack-a-holic Sketch Challenge

Did you see that DCWV is back with their Stack-o-holic challenges? It is time to bring out those stacks and get to crafting!

Today, I am working with this card sketch:

And here is the card I made using the new DCWV Stack - Birds & Butterflies.

As you can see, I flipped the sketch onto its side for my card. I knew I wanted to use this cut-out bird from the stack, but had a hard time designing a vertical card with it. Once I turned it horizontal, the idea of the strip towards the bottom would be perfect for the sentiment. I added a couple diecut branches behind the bird to add my detail to the card.

Pink & Main March Challenge - Spring

It is time for a new Pink & Main Stamps Monthly Challenge!
    This month is about 'SPRING'!

Who is ready for Spring? I know that I am! This past weekend I bought a few spring flowers and got my garden started. This card is perfect for any gardener who loves to prep their gardens!

I used the super adorable set, Easter Street, to create this card. Along with their coordinating dies.

I stamped a few of the images from the set and colored them with markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut out the images. I used distress inks to create the sky background. (I am still figuring out how people to the smooth blending process, mine is not so smooth.) I used a brown marker for the dirt part of the garden. I masked off the section using washi tape as I colored in and removed the tape. The diecuts are added to the card to finish off the garden scene. The sentiment is stamped using stamps from the Planning Spring and Hello Sweet stamp sets.

    Want to play along?
