Poppy Stamps Delivery Card

Hello, everyone! It is Jessi from Kissin' Krafts! I am excited to be back on the Butterfly Reflections, Ink blog, today! If I planned ahead better, I might have had a plan to do a leap year card, but I didn't. But I hope you all enjoy the extra day!

First of all, let's talk about all the different goodies that are available in Butterfly Reflections, Ink store. So many new brands and new lines coming out. Be sure to check out the NEW PRODUCT section in the store.  One new brand to me is Poppy Stamps, which I will be using on today's card!

I knew that I wanted to make a scene card with the Poppy Stamps Mail Delivery stamp set and coordinating dies. However, I wanted to add some dimension to the card. Today's card, I tried something different for me. I made the scene with a frame popped up around the picture.

The first step was to gather up a variety of papers to create the scene with. I grabbed the American Crafts Shimelle 6x6 paper pad to supply the prints. I cut the yellow print the same measurement of an A2 card. Using the Dienamics Double Stitched Rectangle Dies, I formed a frame with the yellow print. I used foam tape to attach the frame to the front of the card.  I used the same die to cut the sky and grass parts of the scene.

I used a lot of the images from the Mail Delivery stamp set and used the coordinating dies. The images were colored in with a variety of markers. The diecuts are attached to the scene. The bunny image is attached with a piece of foam tape.

I am in love with Poppy Stamps! I added a few more sets to my collection and cannot wait to use them! Be sure to check out the Poppy Stamps section in the Butterfly Reflections, Ink store!

Thank you for stopping by today!

Sending Warm Hugs

Happy Saturday, Pink & Main friends! Sometimes a simple hug can make your worries disappear, at least for me it works. But what happens if someone you care about is in need of a hug, but lives so far away? You can still send them hugs!

Today, I am working with the Hugs Needed stamps and coordinating dies.

This CAS card allows the sentiment to pop off the card. I created a blank white mat and stamped the word 'HUGS' in a light blue ink. I used the coordinating die to cut the word out in a darker blue and layered the die slightly off of the stamp to create the shadow effect. The rest of the sentiment is stamped with black ink. A few sequins are added to the card. The white mat is attached to a light blue mat and attached to the card base.

Thank you for stopping by today! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Joy Clair - Let You Light Shine

(If you are here to see my part of te Create Together with Marcie Sharp,
please look at the previous post!)

Hello, Joy Clair friends!  I am excited to be sharing one of my latest Joy Clair projects with you today! Joy Clair released 8 stamp sets this month. You can check out the new release HERE!
Today, I am working with the new set, Let the Light Shine, from the Color by Faith series.

Let the Light Shine Clear Stamps - Joy Clair - 1

Here is the bible journaling page using this inspiring stamp set:

o I fell in love with the unique shaped sunburst stamp. I decided to stamp the image down the column alternating between two colors. Inside the sunburst, I added gold foil alpha stickers to spell SHINE. A simple phrase is stamped towards the bottom half of the page. This is a very simple page to create. The large open circle in the middle makes it a great way to highlight a word.

Creating Together with Marcie Sharp

Hello, friends! I am excited for today's post. Towards the end of last year, the talented Marcie Sharp had an idea about creating a series of working with a variety of card-makers. She sent out a request for people who were interested and I jumped at the opportunity to work with her! Please check out her blog, Sharp Designs, to see some previous installments of the Create Together series.

The fun thing about this series is that she puts a different challenge for each designer. What a unique way to inspire others. My challenge was to CASE a card she had previously created. So off to her Pinterest page to see a large group of her creations. After sending a few days narrowing down the possibilites, I chose to CASE this card created by Marcie. You can see it HERE on her blog.

If you have been following Marcie, she has been on a journey to work on different ways to work on her coloring skills. So I decided to take the coloring challenge as well for this installment of Create Together. I recently won a set of ZIG markers. I have been trying to get use to this form of watercoloring. So I decided to pull out a few different colors and get to work.

What drew me to Marcie's card was the the CAS style, but mostly the adorable elephant image. I recently purchased an elephant image from Butterfly Reflections, Ink and wanted to use the image for my card. So I stamped it onto watercolor paper and begin the painting process.

Let me tell you...I am in love with these ZIG markers and cannot wait to work with them more! Here is my final card CASEing her card.

I really love the layout of her card and stuck pretty close to it. My image is a little larger, so all the elements are crammed closer together. I also decided to added some double-stitching dies along the edges of the panel.

Know onto Marcie's blog to see what card of mine she decided to CASE. I am looking forward to seeing what she created!

Thank you for stopping by today. And thank you Marcie for letting me participate in the Create Together series with you! You always make some inspiring cards! Cannot wait to see what you have in store!

Joy Clair - Just Kitten

Hello, Joy Clair friends!  I am excited to be sharing one of my latest Joy Clair projects with you today! You can check out the new release HERE!
Today, I am working with the new stamp set, Just Kitten.

Just Kitten Around Clear Stamps - Joy Clair - 1

And my card using this fun stamp set:

I really enjoy larger images. They are super easy to color in. I stamped the image in black ink and colored with a variety of markers. The image is cut out and set aside. I wanted to create a scenery card, so the background is made using a cloud printed paper. A strip of green cardstock is cut with a fringe edge for the grass and attached to the cloud print. The cat image is attached using a foam dot. The sentiment is stamped onto a banner diecut and attached at the top of the card.

From Our Gnome to Yours

Hello, Pretty Cute Stamp fans! Hope you are having a fabulous week! I am excited to share my project with you today!

I am working with the super fun Gnomies stamp set!

Last month I was lucky enough to win a set of ZIG markers. I am finally breaking them out and giving them a try! So, my first step to create this card was to stamp the images in a light ink color. The next step was to start coloring the images in with the different ZIG markers. Once the paint dried, I rounded the corners and added a few cloud diecuts. The girl gnome is cut out and attached to the scene. A simple sentiment is stamped onto the larger cloud.

Pink & Main - Bunny Costume Card

Happy Saturday, Pink & Main friends! Before you know it, it will be Easter. I love walking the stores and seeing all the home décor and of course, the Easter candy! So with all the inspiration gathered, I came home to create a card using a new Pink & Main stamp set!

Today, I am working with the Bunny Costume stamp set and coordinating dies.

I am in the middle of purging my craft supplies. As I notice all the supplies I actually have, I set a goal for me to use up my papers. In this process, I found some Easter prints from last year. So I used them to create this card. A few different dies were used to create the scene. The Easter bunny is stamped and colored in with markers. The simple sentiment is stamped at the bottom of the card. I finished the card by rounding the corners.

Thank you for stopping by today! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Pretty Cute Stamps Monthly Challenge - Include a Ribbon

Today starts a new Pretty Cute Stamps Challenge! This month the challenge is to include a ribbon on you project.

I used to use ribbon on my cards a lot. However, I then moved to twine and then nothing. So to make sure I used ribbon on my project, the easiest thing for me to do is to make a tag.

I decided to use a fancy die to create the tag. I used the die on printed paper and plain cardstock. The two pieces are glued together. I used the Knit Happens stamp set and paper-pieced the image with a variety of papers. A simple sentiment is stamped on strips of paper and attached to the tag.

Pretty Cute Stamps Monthly Challenge Rules:
  • This month's theme is Love. So, create any thank you themed project using Pretty Cute Stamps. A Pretty Cute Stamp must be used to create the project.

    DCWV Stateside RT.66 layout

Hello, DCWV friends! It is Jessi from the DCWV Social Media Design Team! Have you seen the new DCWV Statewide Collection coming to your local Joann Fabric and Craft Store? I am in love! I am not one who normally does scrapbooking, but this collection has inspired me! My family and I took a road trip from Texas to Utah last summer and I have yet to do much with the pictures! Let the crafting begin!

My first plan was to create with the DCWV Travel Journal Album. I started the cover and a few of the pages and realized I would not be able to complete the album before my posting deadline. So I had to set that project aside (to come at a later date) and decided to crank out a layout page.

It sometimes takes me a few days to design a layout page. Because I was in crunch time, I decided to look at the current DCWV Stack-o-holic Challenge sketch and see what I can come up with. Here is the current sketch:

I could not get the layout to work with the pictures I had, so I decided to rotate the sketch and move around some of the elements. Here is what the layout looked like as I started to arrange some of the pieces.

I decided to add a mat to each of the photos. The layout still seemed a little boring to me, I needed to decided some additional elements to add to the page. As I mentioned before, I was working with the DCWV Stateside Travel Journal. In that kit, there was a sheet of black stickers. I added the 'hello' and the star stickers to the chevron tags. The layout could probably be completed at this point, but I am in love with wooden veneers. So I added a wooden car to the layout to finish it off.

Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful!

I really wanted the bunny to be the star of the card. I used a variety of markers to color in the bunny. I created a simple background with a few printed papers and created the circle shaped card. The card needed a few more details, so I added a couple die cut eggs. The sentiment is stamped to finish the card.

    Sweet Thoughts of You

Happy Saturday, Pink & Main friends! Sorry for the late post today. It has been a beautiful day here in Texas. After spending hours doing yard work and going to baseball practice, I lost track of my day! So I here I am posting this 'Sweet" card to end the day.

Today, I am working with the Hello Sweet stamp set and coordinating dies

I am in love with the new word stamps/dies from the January release. And there are more to come! On this card, I want to highlight the word die by using the matching shadow die. The sentiment is finished with the stamped word. I used a variety of printed papers to create the card. Once the sentiment is put together, I added a few wooden hearts to finish the card!

    Love Always & Forever

Happy Saturday, Pink & Main friends! Valentine's Day is next weekend...can you believe that?!? Pink & Main has some super cute word dies that fit perfectly with the holiday. So I am sharing a project with you today using the word die and the coordinating stamp set.

My task for the last week or so is purging/cleaning my craft area. During this process, I came across the glitter moon in the scrap pile. I thought it would be cute to use it on a card with a couple of birds in front of it. Then I remembered the birds from the Pink & Main Sweet Pair stamp set. I The birds are colored in with a variety of markers and cut out. The scene is put together with the 'starry' printed paper. The sentiment begins with the 'LOVE' word die and the rest is from the True Love stamp set. At first, I thought this would finish the card, but I felt the card needed a little extra of something. I decided to add a few heart diecuts.

Did you see this month's Pink & Main Challenge? It is all about LOVE! You can check out the details or submit your entry, HERE!

Thank you for stopping by today! Have a wonderful weekend! I am off to do some yard work today!

    Hugs & Kisses Gift Tag

Hello, DCWV friends! It is Jessi from the DCWV Social Media Design Team! Can you believe that it is already February?!? Where did January go? With that being said, Valentine's Day is right around the corner!

I am one who waits to the end of a deadline to get things done. It is a bad quality I have, but I do think sometimes it is some of my best work. With that being said, I also wait to the last minute to buy gifts and things. Which means last-minute wrapping happens as well!

I found some beautiful gold/red/kraft chipboard tags that would be perfect for those Valentine's gifts. They just needed some extra bling before they are ready to be added to the gift! So I dug out some gold foil cardstock from my scraps and got to work!

Back in December, when I was working on my Daily December albums using the DCWV DIY Project Holiday Favor Boxes stack, I saved all my scraps, especially the gold cardstock! I knew that the gold would come in handy when I needed to add some bling to a project. I took the scrap and ran it through the die machine to create the word embellishment to add to the tag.

I wanted to extended the sentiment, so I stamped and embossed the rest onto DCWV black cardstock. The card was cut into a strip, embossed and attached to the tag. I cut the end to hang over the edge of the tag. The word 'hugs' is glued overlapping part of the black strip. The final touch for the tag was to add a simple mirrored heart embellishment from the DCWV Mini Adhesive Mirrors packet.

Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful!

Hello, Pretty Cute Stamp fans! Hope you are having a fabulous week! I am excited to share my project with you today!

I am working with the super fun BOTday stamp set!

One of my resolutions for the new year is to use the supplies that I have. So I found some scrap paper and decided to create a boy's birthday card with it. I brought out the fun BOTday stamp set and stamped one of the robot images onto white cardstock. The image is colored in using some colors from the printed papers. The robot is added to the card and the fun sentiment is stamped on the bottom of the card.
