Trio My Mind's Eye Holiday Cards

Hello, everyone! It is Jessi from Kissin' Krafts! I am excited to be back on the Butterfly Reflections, Ink blog, today!

First of all, let's talk about the current sale going on right now over in the Butterfly Reflections, Ink store...

You can check out the deals, HERE!

Now on to my project...

I don't know about you, but I love to send out Holiday cards to family and friends. However, with our hectic schedules, it makes it hard to find time to create all those cards.  So I am in love with using collections that include a variety of embellishments that match the paper. Today, I made these 3 cards in a matter of minutes.

These cards are made using the My Mind's Eye Christmas on Market Street collection. I used the 6x6 paper pad, flair buttons, and die cuts embellishments.

I love how the flair provides a pop of color on this festive white and gold card. The large snowflake and sentiment banner are part of the die cuts packet.

Whenever I see antlers during the holiday season, I think of Rudolph. So I added a red enamel dot for the nose with the antlers. A sentiment banner finishes off the card.

I decided to pair up this large piece from the die cuts bag with a few prints  from the My Mind's Eye Christmas on Market Street 6x6 paper pad. The rounded corners give the card a softer look.

Thank you for stopping by today!

Joyful Wishes

Who is ready for a HUGE Black Friday Sale?

All stamps will be 50%---YES---50% off! What a deal!
Make sure you stop by the Joy Clair Shop to find the deals!!!

I wanted to create a simple card to highlight this fun sentiment. I love the font and wanted it to pop on the card. I used a lamp pole die with red cardstock. And added a gold bow. I used the sparkle/snowflake in the Joyful Wishes set and stamped it in white against the cream color cardstock. It is hard to see in the first photo, so I added a close-up below.

DCWV- I am Grateful

It is the day before Thanksgiving and who else is taking a break from preparing for tomorrow festivities to look at awesome crafting projects in the blog world? I know that I will be sneaking a few peeks here and there! So let me first say THANK YOU for stopping at the DCWV blog!

Today, I am using the fun DCWV Harvest House 6x6 paper pad to create a card. I love this paper stack so much! So much so, that the stack is almost empty!

And a peek at the inside:

I really like to simple look of this card. The sentiment on the banners is a unique touch to the card. The banners are attached using a twine ribbon and embellished with a large button. The rest of the sentiment is stamped on the inside of the card.

I have to go back to the kitchen and finish preparing some dishes. I cannot wait to eat some homemade stuffing and Apple Crumb Pie. But besides the food, I LOVE watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade! My favorite Thanksgiving tradition! I force my husband to watch that and later he forces me to watch football, so I guess that is an easy trade-off!

Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful day and Happy Thanksgiving!

Pink and Main Baby Bear Card

Happy Saturday, Pink & Main friends! With the holidays around the corner, I am sure that you were expecting a festive project. With all the Fall/Holiday projects I have been making, I needed a break!

My cousin is expecting her first child in the next few days.  So today, I used Pink & Main's Animal Faces, Sweet Faces Set 1, and Little One stamp sets to create a fun baby card.

I used a pretty tan print paper and stamped the bear image. I also stamped the same image on pink paper, to paper-piece the bear's ears. I used some stitched rectangle dies to create the sign. The sentiment is from the Little One stamp set. I used a few different prints to form the layers to the card and attached to the teal card base.

Thank you for stopping by today! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

I used the fun Gingerbread Kisses and Warm Winter Wishes to create the a treat bag perfect for those holiday baking goodies!

I started with a plain kraft treat bag. I stamped a few snowflake with white ink around the bag. The tag is cut from a patterned paper. The gingerbread image is stamped on kraft cardstock and cut out. I used a variety of pens and markers to color in part of the gingerbread.

    Joy Clair - Glad Tidings

Today on the Joy Clair blog, the design team is showcasing the Glad Tidings stamp set. It is so inspirational to see what different designs the DT comes up with using the same stamp set!

I love the string of lights stamp. I decided to use it for a gift tag.

The string of light image is stamped a few times to cover the tag. The bulbs are colored with traditional Christmas light colors. A white gel pen is used on each bulb. The 'to' and 'from' are stamped in white ink on black cardstock strips. The string for the tag is black twine.

Hello there, today I have the pleasure of participating in Tracey's 25 Days of Christmas Tags event. Today is sponsored by Neat and Tangled and the team have to together to share some tags with you.
I used a Spellbinders tag die to start of my tag. I used Neat and Tangled's Little Santa Girl stamp set to create the design.

I colored the adorable girl image with a variety of markers. The image and banner are cut out and added to the tag. A simple twine string is added to the tag. A very simple and cute tag to add to that special gift.

    Joy Clair Snow Fall

Today on the Joy Clair blog, the design team is showcasing the fun Snow Fall stamp set. It is so inspirational to see what different designs the DT comes up with using the same stamp set!

I love CAS style cards. So to no surprise I created a simple creation using the Snow Fall set.

To start this card, I measured out a white mat to be placed on the card base. I knew that I was going to create the space, so I cut the length of the mat one inch shorter. I divided the mat using a snow drift die. I place the two pieces on the card base and used washi tape to mask off the inch area where the opening would be.  I removed the mat and stamped a variety of snowflakes to fill in the space. Once the stamping is done, I removed the tape. I attached the two mat pieces and stamped the sentiment. I did decided to turn the sentiment stamp into two sections.

    Pink & Main Recipe Book

Happy Saturday, Pink & Main friends! With the holidays around the corner, that means baking season is too! I love to bake! And between my family and my husband's family, we have several different holiday cookies that we make every year! It is time to get them organized!

Using the new Pink & Main Baker stamp set, I create a little album to keep the recipes in one place!

I love to paper-piece with stamps! The large images in the Baker set make it very easy to use this technique. I stamped the images on different prints and cut them out. I attached them to create a small counter-top scene. At the bottom, I decided to stamp a couple sentiments from the Baker set. To fill in the empty space at the top, I used Thickers to label 'RECIPES'.  I included a few notecards inside the album.

Thank you for stopping by today! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Joy Clair - Merry & Bright Rudolphs

So have you noticed Christmas music playing in stores? It is still alittle early for me, but I do find myself singing along! My kiddos LOVE singing Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer. And it is that song that inspired today's card.

I am working with Joy Clair's Merry Christmas Sentiments stamp set:

When I first saw the Merry Christmas Sentiments set, I was drawn to the reindeer stamp. I wanted to use it to create a background. One day shopping, I found the burlap Rudolph embellishment. So I decided to turn the reindeer into Rudolph by adding a dot of red paint as a nose. To fill in the empty parts on the card, I stamped a small snowflake (from the Christmas Wishes stamp set). The kraft cardstock is added to a red mat and added to the cardbase. A simple sentiment is stamp on a pendant diecut with white ink. The burlap embellishment is added to the front of the card.

Some of the Joy Clair stamps Christmas/This Season stamps are currently on sale. Check out this section to see some stamp sets on sale.

Today I am giving you are sneak peek at the new Doggone It stamp set:

I used a variety of dies to create the scene. I stamped the dog and the bowl onto cardstock and colored in with a few different markers. I tried to color the dog with a couple different grays to make it look furry. After the images were colored, I cut them out and added them to the scene. A fun sentiment from another set from the November release, Fur Baby, was added at the bottom of the scene.

    DCWV November Stack-a-holic Challenge

Hello, DCWV! Fall is in the air! I am loving the cooler temps and the fall décor!
Today, I am sharing the card I made to go along with the DCWV November Stack-a-holic Sketch Challenge.
    Here is the sketch:

And here is my take on the sketch:

I used the beautiful DCWV stack, Harvest House. I decided to stick pretty close to the sketch and used a variety of prints to make this card! To add some different textures to the card, I included some embossed diecuts and some burlap.

Here are the instructions/rules from the DCWV blog:
Until then, just as a reminder, please create a page or a card that is inspired from the sketches shown above.  Once you are done, please send a picture of your creation to meganlloyd(at)dcwv(dot)com (they need to be submitted by midnight, November 30th).  I will post them on our Facebook Page as the submissions come in.  At the beginning of next month, we'll post our top 10 picks from each sketch and 4 people will be chosen to win a stack for playing along.
Thank you for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

    DCWV Canvas Pumpkin

Hello, DCWV friends! It is finally fall here in Texas and I am in the mood to decorate! A few weeks ago, I bought a large unfinished pumpkin. I was trying to decide if I should paint it or cover it with a fun printed paper.

I decided to use one of DCWV Oversized Stacks available at Joann Fabrics stores. These oversized stacks are available in different types of colors and textures. I settled on using the DCWV 16x20 Oversized Canvas stack.

I first painted the stem and edges of the pumpkin. After the paint dried, I covered the front with Modge Podge and attached the canvas paper. I trimmed the paper along the edge. To smooth out the bubbles, I used a ruler and ran it across the front of the pumpkin. To finish the pumpkin, I added a few burlap leaves and a twine bow around the stem.

    Pink & Main Doughnuts!

Happy Saturday, Pink & Main friends! The November release is around the corner!

I broke out the watercolors to create a fun card using a new 'Free with $30 purchase' - Good Like That stamp set.

The donut image is stamped and embossed in white to create the background. The donuts are painted with watercolors. To fill in the empty spots, I stamped red hearts. The sentiment is from the new Baker stamp set. I curved the stamp to allow the words to wrap around the doughnut.  Even though it is time consuming to paint the donuts, this was a very simple and easy card to create!

    Little Tangles Challenge - Thankful

    Happy Thursday, everyone!
Today starts a new Little Tangles Challenge and it is about giving thanks!

I used the Neat and Tangled's All My Heart and Simple Christmas stamp sets to create this card.

To create this card, I covered the card base with the floral print. I used a rectangle die to create the panel, the sentiment will be stamped on. I stamped the wreath in a gray ink and stamped the sentiment in the middle with pink ink. The sentiment panel is attached to a wood print mat and then attached with foam dots. At first, this was going to complete the card, but I felt the card needed something else. I added 3 pale pink enamel dots to the add.

I hope you stop by the Little Tangles blog to see more of the design team projects.

May Arts/DCWV Blog Hop Day 3

Welcome to Day 3 of the May Arts/DCWV Blog hop!

    rr dcwv banner

I decided to pair up some May Arts ribbon with the new DCWV Frosted Spruce Stack!

I create a square card using a snowflake print from the The Frosted Spruce Stack. The sentiment is stamped onto another print from the same stack. The branch frame is a stamp from Joy Clair and is stamped and colored on an off white cardstock. I used a mesh twine ribbon across the bottom of the card. May Arts has this really cute ribbon in the shape of moose. I decided to cut one by itself and add to the card.
