Happy Halloween from Pink & Main

Happy Halloween, everyone! Hope you day is full of playful frights! I am excited to be on the Pink & Main blog today!

In spirit of today's spooky holiday, I am playing with Pink & Main's Best Witch stamp set!

I used marker to color in the witch image. After the image was colored in, I used the Best Witches coordinating dies to cut out the witch. I used printed sentiments to complete the card! It is a very simple card to recreate.

Are you ready for November? I know that we are at Pink & Main? Be on the look out for sneaks from the next release!

Have a safe (and creepy) Halloween!

DCWV December Daily Album Part 2

Hello, DCWV friends! I am back to share PART 2 of December Daily Album! I am excited to be working on this in advance in hopes that I will actually finish it this year! If you happened to miss my first post, you can find it HERE! I am using the new DCWV DIY Project Stack - Favor Boxes to create my entire December Daily Album.

Today, I am showing how I am embellishing the pages. I started with the opening page. I cannot decide if I want it to be a title page or a photo. So I add one of the simple punch-out banners included in the Project Stack

I decided to have two pages per day. One for the Instagram photo and the other to add any journaling. I did find it hard to do the embellishments before hand. I feel like I will add more once I have the chosen picture for the day.

The Project Stack includes a variety of punch-out embellishments that I plan to use throughout the album. Some of the embellishments are the numbered ornaments. The stack includes the number 1-25 and a few blank ones.  I decided to use a variety of stickers to and the dates to the blank ones.

I have some of them already punched out and ready to go.

I love the character the tabs give the album when it is closed!

Thank you for stopping by today! Have a great day!

PCS Nativity Magnetic Board

Hello, stamping friends! I am stepping out of my comfort zone and using stamps for a non-card project! I am excited to show you my Pretty Cute Stamps Nativity Magnetic Board!

I am using the Pretty Cute Stamps Nativity 1 and Nativity 2 stamp sets for this project!

With Christmas around the corner, times are going to get busy! Sometimes the Christmas time is full of parties and family get-togethers.  During this special time of the year, we sometimes forget the true meaning of Christmas! I created this magnetic scene to help explain the Christmas Story to the little kiddos.

And you can change the scene as the storytelling continues.

I made a trip to the dollar tree and bought a small baking sheet and a pack of laminating cards.

Using sheets of 12x12 cardstock, I created the background scene and attached to the baking sheet.

It is time to stamp and color in the different images. Once I finished, I cut them out and placed them into the laminated sheets. Cut the images out and attach a magnet to the back of each piece.

Now it is time to tell the story!

Pink & Main Gingerbread

Happy Saturday, Pink & Main friends! I am running a little behind today! (Seems to be a trend for me...) But I am finally able to post today's project!

Today I am using the new Gingerbread stamp set and coordinating dies. The sentiment is from the new Hollydays stamp set.

I decided to take out my colored pencils to color in the gingerbread image today. Once the image is colored in, I used the coordinating die to cut the image out. The gingerbread is paired up with a sweet sentiment, stamped onto a strip of cardstock. I felt the card needed something else. I decided to add a few white sequins to the card.

There you have it, a CAS card perfect for that special person.

Thank you for stopping by today! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Joy Clair Stamps - Fall Leaves

Today is my first post using stamps from the new stamp company- Joy Clair! I am super excited to be part of their design team and look forward to seeing what the future has in store for this fun stamp company!

Most of the US is getting in the fall weather! I am still waiting for it here in Texas. I took out Joy Clair's Hello Autumn stamp set to get me in the Fall mood!

To start this card, I decided to stamp the different leaves onto kraft cardstock to create the background on the cardbase. The center panel is textured cardstock (hard to photograph). The leaves a stamped in a variety of colors. The quote is stamped with a chocolate brown ink. The panel is attached to the card using foam dots.

I used the Joy Clair - Hello Autumn stamp set for the above card. This stamp set is currently on sale, along with other Fall/Halloween sets!

Pink & Main Winter Scarlett Card

Happy Saturday, Pink & Main friends! I am running a little behind today! But I am finally able to post today's project!

Today I am using the new Scarlett stamp set and coordinating dies. When I saw the name of this sweet girl, I insistently thought of using different shades of red. However, I recently saw a snowflake card and thoughts blues would be great.

Scarlet is stamped on white cardstock and cut out using the coordinating die. I colored the image with a variety of markers. To form the card, I simply stamped the sentiment onto the card. I randomly stamped snowflakes (from the Scarlett and Cocoa Cafe stamp sets). The girl is attached using a foam dot. To fill in some of the empty spaces, I used some white sequins.

Thank you for stopping by today! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Pretty Cute Stamps Challenge - Thank You

Today starts a new Pretty Cute Stamps Challenge! This month the challenge is "Thank you"!

I used the fun Many Thanks stamp set. This set is full of fun sentiments!

To create this card, I needed to use only part of one of the sentiment stamps in the Many Thanks set. In the past, I would take the time to tape of the unwanted parts, ink, remove tape, stamp and repeat. This process would have taken forever on this card. So I did something that I was scared to do. I cut the stamp. And I have to admit...I would do it again! It made the job super easy.

After I finished the repeat stamping, I decided the card needed a pop of color. I punched out a pink heart and stamped a simple sentiment. The heart is attached with a foam dot.

    DCWV December Daily

Hello, DCWV friends! It is Jessi and the holiday crafting season is here! DCWV has a new DIY Project stack coming to Jo-Ann stores soon. The Holiday DIY Project Stack is for Favor Boxes. However, I decided to switch it up some! And let me admit, I am going out of my comfort zone!!

Each year I keep telling myself that I would make a December Daily to document the holiday season. However, each year goes by and no December Daily! When I received this stack, I was determined to make one! So this year I am glad to say I will finally have a December Daily album.

My plan for this album is to have an Instagram pic for each day. So I grabbed one of the DCWV Insta Photo Albums available at Jo-Ann stores.

The first step I took was to create the album cover. I took some of the patterned prints and the die cut embellishments available in the DIY Stack. I also used a variety of dies for the wreath and the gold letters. Every time I added something to the cover, I felt like I needed to fill up any white space. This was odd for me, because when I create cards, I LOVE white space!

After the cover was done, it was time to create the pages. I used all the prints available in the stack and cut done the pages. The idea is to include the instagram photo on one page. The other side with have a place for the journalling.

Sorry, I do not have the pages embellsihed yet. It is a very long process for my. I have to say that this cover took me over a week to complete...and I am still unsure it is finished! However, I will be using the embellishment diecuts available in the stack.

I will be back in 2 weeks to showcase a few of the pages that I created for my December Daily album. See you then :)

    Have a great day!

Warm Winter Wishes - Pretty Cute Stamps

Who else is ready for colder weather? I know I am ready for a break from the 90 degree weather!

Hello, Pretty Cute Stamp friends! It is Jessi, here. I am excited to be working with the new

When I saw this bear, I thought it would make a cute shaped card with a snowy scene.

This was a very simple card to create. The first step was to create the circle card. After I chose the patterns, I used a fun border dies to create the snow drifts. The bear is stamped on white cardstock and colored in. The fun sentiment is stamped in blue ink at the bottom of the card.

Have you seen the new October stamps? If not, check out the Pretty Cute Stamps website to see the adorable new stamp sets.

    Pink & Main Warm Holidays

Happy Saturday, Pink & Main friends! Today is the 10th, which means it is RELEASE DAY in the Pink & Main store! Hop on over to see the new stamp sets! They are pretty awesome!

Today, I am working with the new Warm Holiday stamp set and coordinating dies.

I really wanted to highlight the palm tree. To do so, I created the oval scene and placed on a solid white card. I had a piece of the patterned paper that had waves on one side and a light blue on the other side. I cut the oval in half and flipped over one side to create the water/sky. The palm tree is stamped on cardstock and colored in. Once I finished with the coloring, I lined up the die and cut the image out. The top of the oval was a little empty, so I decided to add the sun. The fun sentiment is stamped onto a banner diecut and added with a foam dot.

Did you hear that Pink & Main now has a challenge blog? We just started our second Our current challenge and it is all about 'Birthdays'! Pink & Main products are not required!

Here is the card I made:

Recently, I have seen cards with the images stamped with white onto black cardstock. I think doing this makes the images very striking. I decided to give it a go with this set. I simply stamped the baby Jesus, stable, star and sentiment in white. To make it more vibrant, I embossed with white embossing powder. To add some color to the card, I add a strip of patterned paper to the side.

Guest Designer - Top Dog Dies - Fall Pocket Page Die Set

I am excited to share my last guest designer project for Top Dog Dies. If you happened to miss their latest release, please stop by their store to see the fabulous designs.

I created a fall wreath using the Fall Pocket Page Die set.

I paired the pocket page die with some yummy fall printed papers, with foil accents. To highlight the title, I added a group of leaves to two sides. The leaves dies are used on matching fall printed papers.  The simple squirrel is add to the title.  I felt that the squirrel needed something extra, so I added a small acorn to its hands. A satin ribbon is added so you can hang the wreath.

Before I started this project, I cut out a number of leaves from a mixture of papers. I ended up having extras after I was done with the wreath. I used the extras to make the simple fall card below. A sentiment it added to a strip of paper. To highlight the sentiment, I added a few acorn diecuts.

Thank you for stopping by! And thank you Top Dog Dies for the opportunity to guest design for your awesome company!

Guest Designer Tog Dog Dies - Sugar Skull Die Set

Hello everyone! I am back again for another guest designer project for Top Dog Dies. If you happened to miss their latest release, please stop by their store to see the fabulous designs.

I created a banner using the new Sugar Skull Die set.

To create the banner, I alternated the skulls(layered on black cardstock) and the solid orange backing mat. I used alpha stickers to spell out SPOOKY for the banner.

I really like the pierced edging around the skull head. It adds a fun detail to the banner! Holes are punched on the top of the individual skulls and strung onto a black piece of twine.

I also decided to make an actual sugar skull with the die. I took a black Sharpie pen and hand-drew the design onto the skull. I used Chameleon Markers to color in the design. I used a variety of colored cardstock to create the eyes, nose and mouth of the sugar skull.  I used the back matting die to cut the shape of the skull out of the black cardstock and placed a lime green cardstock underneath the black cardstock. The sugar skull is added using a foam dot.

Thank you for stopping by! And thank you Top Dog Dies for the opportunity to guest design for your awesome company!

Guest Designer Top Dog Dies - Haunted Houses

Hello everyone, this is Jessi from Kissin' Krafts. I am super excited to be a guest designer for Top Dog Dies. If you happened to miss their latest release, please stop by their store to see the fabulous designs.

Today I am working with the new Haunted House Die Set. I decided to create a mini shadow box display using all the dies from the set.

To start the project, I used a variety of cardstocks and created all the die-cuts. I made sure to have several of each design, to give myself plenty of things to work with. I measured the backing of the box and cut out the patterned paper to fit.

I created one layer at a time, starting with the back layer. The individual pieces are moved around until I am happy with their location. Once I am happy with the entire layer, I start gluing the pieces.

To create dimension within the shadow box, I used foam dots to pop the next layer out.

The last layer is the haunted house.  A few additional dots are added to the back of the house to make it pop out further in the shadow box.

Once the house is placed, the scene is complete. Simply add some adhesive to the back of the scene and place inside the shadow box.

Thank you for stopping by! And thank you Top Dog Dies for the opportunity to guest design for your awesome company!

You Cast a Spell On Me

Happy Saturday, Pink & Main friends!

Who else is excited about Halloween? The decorations are coming out and the spooky motif is all around! With that in mind, I decided to showcase the Pink & Main's Witch House stamp set.

This was a very simple card to create. To start off, I randomly stamped the three bottle images across the cardstock. The images are stamped in black ink. To add color to the card, I flipped the clear stamps over and covered the back with the ink. After inking the stamp, I lined the stamp up with matching image and stamped. To fill in the empty spots, I add some orange circles (using the dot stamp from the Don't Worry stamp set). The sentiment is stamped in orange ink and added on foam dots.

Did you hear that Pink & Main now has a challenge blog? We just started our second challenge and it is all about 'Birthdays'! Pink & Main products are not required!

    Happy Thursday, everyone!
