Sweet Stamp Shop's Use What You Have #11

Happy Sweet Wednesday everyone! Are you up for another Sweet Stamp Shop's Use What You Have Challenge? Today I am playing with the wooden button (pictured below in the 'STASH' photo) paired with the Sweet Stamp Shop's Warm Notes.

To start off, I painted the wooden button a tan color. Using a rich brown ink, I stamped the burlap image from the Warm Notes stamp set on the top of the wooden button.

So what do you have in your stash? Unsure? Why not start digging through those piles of stuff and see what your creative mojo creates? And once those creations are done, why not stop on over to the Sweet Stamp Shop's blog and link it up to the Use What You Have Challenge!

Popping with Watercolor

Good morning, gel-a-tins friends! Who else is ready for these hot temperatures to go away? I know that I am! But one good thing about this weather...more time to stay inside and create!

I am in love with gel-a-tins Big & Wild Things! Today I am sharing a simple CAS card with a splash of color!

Using one of the big floral stamps from the Big & Wild Things, I stamped the image in one color. To add some POP to the card, dabs of watercolor are placed on each tip of the flower.

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you will join the gel-a-tins Facebook page to receive the latest gel-a-tins news and inspiration!

Using Prickley Pear's Mini Butterflies 2:

I cannot seem to get enough of the watercolors lately! I am truly in love with this technique!!!! I decided that the floral image from the Mini Butterflies 2 was in need of some watercolors! So I made it the highlight of the card with a simple sentiment at the bottom of the card!

SSS Use What You Have Challenge #10

Happy Wednesday SWEET fans! Are you ready for another Sweet Stamp Shop's Use What You Have Challenge? It's time to reach into your stash and start to create!

While digging through my sticker stash,

I came across these quote bubble stickers and decided to pair them with
Sweet Stamp Shop's Let's Chat stamp set.

Along with the Let's Chat stamp set, I brought out Sweet Stamp Shop's Simple Sentiments stamp set.

With this card, my goal was to make the card look like a message board. Using the paper patterned paper to resemble the paper you write the message on and the cork board is where you post the message.

Check out the challenge details below:

NEW PRIZE RULE - In order for us to have TWO winners we must have AT LEAST 15 entries in the challenge! If not, then we'll just award the one person who used their stash the best. SO, SHARE the challenge and get your friends on board!

Read through the directions carefully - we've changed just a couple things... (well, not really changed - just made more clear)

You'll have until next tuesday to add your link below - your link needs to be to the direct post not to your general blog - and it needs to include -

1. A link back to our challenge (and optional - our challenge badge - see above)

2. A picture of your stash

3. A picture of your project

Some Extra Details -

1. You do not *have to* use SSS in your card or project - although, we'd love it! (and we can't feature your project in our marketing without you using SWEET! - so keep that in mind!)

2. You have until Tuesday at 10pm pst to add your link below

3. There will be ONE winner based upon most creative use of 'old stuff' .... and ONE winner drawn from all the participants. Winners will be announced the day of the new challenge - so, in this case... next Wednesday. Prize will be something sweet - lol. REMINDER - NEW RULE - In order for us to have TWO winners we must have AT LEAST 15 entries in the challenge! If not, then we'll just award the one person who used their stash the best. SO, SHARE the challenge and get your friends on board!

MOST IMPORTANT!!! Create whatever strikes your fancy - scrapbook page, project life - cards - altered art - home decor.... anything! Just be sure to use that old stuff in it!

(also, we had a question about multiple entries - YES, you can make as many cards as you like! BUT, it doesn't increase your odds of winning - your name will go into the hat 'once')

We look forward to linking up your STASH projects! You can link them up HERE on the Sweet Stamp Shop blog!

SSS Use What You Have Wednesdays #9

It's another SWEET Wednesday! Today starts a new Sweet Stamp Shop's Use What You Have Challenge! Make sure to stop by the Sweet Stamp Shop's blog to see more details!

Here are the supplies from my stash and the adorable Sweet Stamp Shop's Nesting stamp set!

Here is the card I created with the above products!

Every time I see the Nesting stamp set, it always shouts PAPER-PIECE ME!!! So that is exactly what I did! To finish the doll, I added a simple brad to add dimension to it. My first thought was to have the doll be in the center of the card. But then I decided to cut out the circle and place a more solid patterned to make the doll POP! The sentiment is part of the sentiment stamp included in the Nesting stamp set. I ended up taping off some of the stamp as I inked it. Once I removed the tape, it would only stamp the inked areas.

I hope you will hop on over to the Sweet Stamp Shop's blog and join our challenge! Just grab something from your stash and create! How simply is that?? Click HERE for more details about the Sweet Stamp Shop's Challenge

Have you joined us on Facebook, Pinterest or Twitter! We would love to have you!

gel-a-tins Beary Love

Hello, gel-a-tins friends! It's Jessi here from Kissin' Krafts!
Today I am sharing a card I made using the gel-a-tins Honey Bear stamp set!

This card uses the Masking technique used to make it look like one stamped image is in front of another!

The first bear image is stamped onto the card. One more bear image is stamped on a spare piece of cardstock and cut out. The cut -out image is placed over the one stamped on the card. I used the Love You stamp from the Honey Bear set to form the background. The sentiment is stamped in a darker color to stand out.  The heart is from gel-a-tins Gingerbread House stamp set. The last step was my attempt at shade coloring with Spectrum Noir. I am still learning :)

Trendy Buzzing Bookmark

So have you seen the BUZZING new color at Trendy Twine! Stop by the Trendy Twine store to see the NEW Bumblebee!

Today I am sharing a fun bookmark to showcase the Bumblebee twine:

The bumblebee twine is PERFECT for creating a bee trail! So I decided to make use a variety of bee stamps and a trail stamp behind them. Once the ink dried, I covered the trail with light glue and traced the trail with twine.

Ahhh, I love Challenges!!!

Kids are gone, house is quiet, now it is time to play along with some challenges! Being that it is Friday, I chose to stop by CAS-ual Fridays to see what the latest challenge is! MATERIAL it is! Definitely going to be a fun challenge! I sometimes use twine and ribbon, but I have been wanting to use burlap on a card! So off I go to the Little Tangles blog to see what their challenge is! Cannot be any simplier! BIRTHDAY!

Off to create:

To create the flower, I used Spellbinder's circle diecuts. A simple button is sewn on using Trendy Twine's Totally White. The paper is Simple Stories's Vintage Bliss.  The sentiment is made using Lily Bee Designs Alpha stickers and a sentiment stamp from Neat and Tangles's Kindness Matters stamp set.

Do you love to play along with challenges, as much as I do? How about checking out Sweet Stamp Shops' Use What You Have Challenge? All you have to do is grab something from your stash! How easy is that!!!
