It's New Year's Eve, Baby!

Boy, where did 2012 go? It has been an exciting one, but I am ready to see what 2013 brings!

Today I am delighted to show you my last Prickley Pear card for 2012! Check out the Prickley Pear Design Team creations on the Prickley blog!

Yes, I am wishing to see snow! However, the likelihood of that happening is very low! But I can dream right?

I decided to create a 'snowglobe' with a wintery scene inside. Using the Winter Scalloped Oval 3 Clear Set,  I stamped the lamppost and bird images onto a jar-shaped die cut. I added snow to the scene with puffy paint. The last step was to assemble the snowglobe and piece together the card.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I have had a blast with Prickley Pear this year and look forward to see the new stamps for 2013!

Be safe everyone and Happy New Year!

gel-a-tins Warm Thank You

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday! What do you on the day after? Shop? Clean? Create? I don't know about you, but I try to get my Thank You cards done quickly!

It's Jessi here and today I am sharing a warm Thank You card using a couple stamps from a couple of different gel-a-tins sets.

I choose to paper-piece the house from the Gingerbread House Stamp set. Once the house was complete, I used puffy paint to add the snow to the house. The final touch was to add the wreath and gold gem accents (from the gelly gem rolls).

The sentiment (from the Honey Bear Stamp Set) was stamped onto the banner. The first part of the sentiment was done using a variety of letter stickers. The banner was attached to the card using foam dots.

Thank you for stopping by today! Hope you have a grand day!

Merry Christmas from Trendy Twine

Merry Christmas Trendy Twiners! Hope you all have a safe and blessed day!

Today the Trendy Twine Design Team is sharing holiday cards for you today! Stop by the Trendy Twine Blog to see their wonderful creations!

Here is my card for you:

I decided to use Candy Cane and Holly Twines to create the circle candies. I punched out circles and used them to form the candies. I cut out a jar using a die cut and attached the candies. The final touch was to use the Berry Twine to wrap around the lid of the jar and attach the jar to the card. I added a simple sentiment, stamped in two colors and rounded the corners.

And viola!

Simply elegant Prickley Christmas!

Can you believe that Christmas is tomorrow? I cannot wait to start the festive traditions later today!

Todayis Design Team reveal day over on the Prickley Pear blog. I am sharing a CAS Christmas card using Prickley Pear yummies:

The first step is to cut out the scallop oval using the Scalloped Oval Die. Next, I choose the pinecone stamps from the Winter Scalloped Oval Clear Stamps Set 3. And added the "Merry Christmas" sentiment (from Christmas Tree Clear Stamp Set 2) in the middle of the oval. I wanted the oval to look like an ornament, so I tied the ribbon to make it look like it was hanging off the card. The final touch was to attach the oval to the card using a foam dot.

Christmas is in the 'Visible' Future

One week until Christmas! Are you ready? I am putting the final touches on my holiday cards and sticking them in the mail soon!

Today I am sharing a cute CAS holiday card using Visible Image's Vintage Season's Greetings sentiment stamp.

Here is the card:

I have been seeing wonderful cards that other artists are making using a snowflake punch to make wreaths/garlands. I had to give it a try!

I wanted the wreath to look like it was hanging on a door, so I used a woodgrain embossing folder to create the feeling.  The next step was to punch out several snowflakes and create the wreath.  The final touch on the wreath was to add the twine bow.  The last step was to add the Visible Image sentiment onto the banner! What a simple and beautiful card it turned out to be!

Dreaming of a Snowy, Prickley Christmas!

Happy Monday, everyone! Christmas is NEXT week! Hooray! I cannot wait! But, for now I would love to share my latest Prickley Pear creation.

Today I used the Three Marching Snowmen Stamp (plus a few more) on my card:

Along with the snowmen, I used the Swirls and Snowflakes for the background of the card. The trees were stamped with Christmas Trees 2 Clear Stamp set and cut using the Christmas Tree Die. I decided to cut out the snowmen and color in some of the image (learning how to color will be one of my resolutions for the next year)!

Playing with Tangled!

Hope you all are having a wonderful weekend! Today I have been able to find some time to create a card for a challenge blog. Have you heard of Neat and Tangled Stamps? Did you know that they have a challenge blog, Little Tangles? Their latest challenge is 'Holiday'.

Here is my creation using their Sweet Home stamp set.

Once again, I went CAS for this card. Using the peppermint stamps from the stamp, I stamped the images down the left side of the card. I also stamped the larger candy cane in the same red and cut the image out.  I took the sentiment and stamped it in white and using white embossing powder on top of it. Lastly, I pieced together the card and rounded a couple of the corners.

Season's Greetings from gel-a-tins!

Hello, everyone! It's Jessi from Kissin' Krafts. Are you working on your Holiday cards? Trying to come up with a design and feel that your time is running out? Clean and Simple (CAS) cards are the way to go!

Here is a very simple card that can be made in the masses:

Today I used the Groovy Santa set. The first step is to cut and fold an A2 card. Next, choose a image to stamp several times along the left side of the card. (I used one of the snowflakes from the Groovy Santa set.  Now it is time for the sentiment. I stamped the sentiment onto kraft cardstock and cut it out on a banner. The sentiment is added to the card using foam dots to add dimension to the card.

Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you are enjoying all the holiday creations that the gel-a-tins Design Team have been showing to you!

Have a great day!!!!

Visible Image "Photo" Ornament

Can you believe that Christmas is only 2 weeks away??? Eeek! Are you ready?  We just got and decorated our tree yesterday!

Today, I am sharing a project I made for the tree. Using Visible Image's The Sewing Room stamp set:

So when I sat down to complete this project, I started off with the idea of making a card. But as I stamped the buttons and cut them out, the plans started to change. I formed the wreath with the cut-out green buttons. The red buttons are added using foam dots to add dimension.  A hole was punched at the top and the ribbon was tied. Now I just need to find the perfect picture to add.

(I tried to think of a way to add the year, but was not happy with any of the results.)

gel-a-tins Cheveron Ornament

Hello, gel-a-tins fans! It's Jessi from Kissin' Krafts and I am excited to share this project with you! (I might be so addicted I will probably be making more soon!) I am stepping away from my normal cards today and sharing with you an ornament I made for Christmas trees.

I used Cheverontastic for this project:

I made the dough (similar to salt dough (but made with baking soda and cornstarch) and rolled it out like I was making cookies. The next stamp is to stamp the dough. (You can do this two different ways. You can stamp the dough and then use cookie cutters or vice versa. I like cutting the dough and then stamping). Make sure to use a straw to make the hole at the top of the ornament. And bake away.

I loved how these turned out. This was the first batch that I made, so it was a learning process. I did have to throw away half the batch due to cracking. But hopefully, I have learned the cause and know now how to fix.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Have a great gel-a-tins day!

Trying Something New with Visible Image

It’s Tuesday and that means it is my day at Visible Image! Today I have decided to step away from my comfort zone and try something new. I am always inspired by the talented “color-ers” out there.  I am amazed by the wonderful projects I see with people using markers. So I have decided that I would give it a try!

Now, I needed to use a simple image for the coloring. I mean, I am in the beginner level, but boy do I have some learning to do!

The first step I took was to stamp the images in black ink. Once the ink was dried, I started to color.  The rings I need with no shading. However, I attempted to shade on the rose.  (I will have to watch a few videos to get this down.)
So is this my best work? No. But I do enjoy the fact that I decided to challenge myself!
So if you were going to try a new technique, what would it be?

Christmas Time with Prickley Pear!

Happy Monday, Prickley Pear fans! Hope you had a wonderful weekend! Ready for some Prickley Pear inspiration? Stop by the Prickley Pear blog to see the latest creations from their design team!

Here is my creation using the Bluebirds Wreath Stamp:

I stamped the image in green and also one in black. I fussy-cut the birds out of the black stamped image and colored the birds blue. The last step for the stamped image was gluing the twine to match the 'ribbon' on the stamp. I decided the best way to showcase the birds was to create a window.  Using a collection of die-cuts, twine, and stickers, I pieced together the rest of the card.

Thank you for checking out my Prickley Pear card. There is still time to shop for your special holiday stamps! Check out the wonderful selection of stamps in the Prickley Pear store.

Visible Image December Challenge - Christmas

The countdown to Christmas has begun! Can you believe that it is December? And what does that mean? It is the start of a new Visible Image Monthly Challenge, that's what!!!

Please stop by the Visible Image blog for more details about this month's challenge - CHRISTMAS!

So earlier this week I showcased a dough ornament that I made. While I was working on that batch, I decided to try to make on for Visible Image. So I grabbed their, Sketched Rings, and created this ornament that would be perfect for newly married couples celebrating their first Christmas together.

Did you notice the year? Yep,my mind didn't grasp the idea that the backwards 5 and 2 are not the same thing! So I was surprised when I stamped the date and figured that out!!

Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you decide to share your Christmas creations with us over on the Visible Image blog!

Getting to know Jessica P.

My name is Jessica Pascarella. I am excited to be a part of this awesome company for another term! Here is a litle something about me:

My main love is cards, but have started to expand into scrapbooking and altered items. My biggest "addiction" is stamps. I love the number of ways you can use stamps, the techniques seem to be endless! Feel free to stop by to see my latest creations : Kissin' Krafts. I am truly excited to be a part of the Gel-a-tins Design Team!
