Holidays are almost here...eeekkk!

So are any of you starting to stress over holiday gifts/crafts/etc?  I am! I tend to be a planner, so now is the time I try to plan out all the gifts or crafts or holiday ideas that I would like to do! So now the ideas are flowing, so hopefully, I will get organized and plan WHEN I'm going to get it all done!

One project is to plan the family holiday cards. So I have been searching and trying out different ideas. Perfect Sentiment's challenge is to use the following sketch with a holiday greeting.

Here os my take:

I used paper from a 3 Bugs in a Rug line. And hand-cut the penguins out! (Too cute). With the help of my Cuttlebug embossing folder and white ink, I was able to create the snow background. For the greeting, I chose to use white embossing to add some effect to the card. And last, but not least, I added the red string ribbon for a little extra pop!

Also entered into the following challenges:
Party Time Tuesday - Anything Goes
Inky Impressions - Anything Goes
Pile It On - Keep Warm

Off to get the kiddos ready for some trick or treating!

Happy Halloween, everyone!

I used an October Afternoon paper pack for this beauty. The stamps are from Studio G Ditto Collection. I used a small Fiskar circle punch to create these flowers, with a simple Recollections brad in the center.

Probably going to be my shortest post. Made this card today and meant to put it up a few hours ago. Needless to say the Fire Department just left my house (yes, everything is OK, for now) and this is the first time I get to do it:

Using My Mind's Eye: Alphabet Soup Collection

The Perfect Sentiment Challenge for this week is to make a get well card with some sort of embossing.

I used my Cuttlebug embossing folders on the bird and the background.
Other supplies: Studio G stamps and Paper Studio Ink

Challenges:
The Perfect Sentiment - Get Well/Embossing
Top Tip Tuesday - Layer It On

I will be missing for a few days! I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Off to make dinner for the kiddos, or should I say that after a day like this, I think I am ordering some pizza!

Ad inspired Card - The Perfect Sentiment

I was able to sneak another card, during naptime. It didn't turn out the way I envisioned it, but we all know that happens.  I completed this card for the new challenge blog, The Perfect Sentiment. This weeks challenge is to make a card for a friend and use the following ad for inspiration.
Here is my card:
So as you can tell, I got the color off. I honestly looked at the ad once and thought it was more blue than green!  However, I didn't notice the pillow with the 3 buttons until I was finished with the card...so I think the 3 brads were a nice touch!

I used pop dots to give the 3D effect to a few of the blossoms.

Also entered into Pile It On - Just Because Challenge

Have a great day!

Falling in love with new stamps...

Wow, what a hectic week, so far!  Life stuff has been occupying most of my time this past week.  However, I did managed to sneak in a quick and simple card.  I came across this stamp company,       A Muse Studio Stamps. And I have been drooling over their cute stamps.  As I was searching their website, I came across their blog with a challenge.  So decided to set some time to participate in the challenge. The challenge is to use a stamp to form the background on a card.  Although, I sadly do not have any of their stamps, I used a stamp from Studio G (you know...one of those in the $1 bin at Michael's).  So here is the card:
Supplies:
Recollection Kraft Cardstock
Pink cardstock from scrap pile
Studio G Stamp
Adhesive and Pop Dot
Memento Black Ink

I hope you have a great day and please come back on the 15th for my first reveal with cardabilities!

Did you have a great weekend?

I hope everyone enjoyed celebrating World Card Making Day as much as I did!!!! My husband would probably say that I spent too much time on the computer looking at tons of blogs!  Some people inspired me to try some new techniques, cannot wait to try them!

So I did have a contest for the celebration.  I asked people to follow the blog AND leave a comment.  However, no one did both...so I am putting all my followers and the ones that left comments into the drawing.

So the winner is:
Maria Rodriguez

Please send me an email at kissinkrafts@yahoo.com to claim your prize.
